The Mission of the Kill Devil Hills Fire Department is to minimize risks from fire and other rescue related hazards that may affect the citizens and visitors in Kill Devil Hills. We strive to accomplish our mission through educating the public on safety issues and by a prompt response to emergency situations, including: fires, water rescues, medical emergencies, natural disasters, weather-related emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, rescue situations and other emergencies that may arise. We will provide efficient and effective mitigation of emergency situations to the best of our abilities, through trained and well equipped personnel. We will complete our mission in a caring, courteous, and professional manner.
