Mulligan's Oceanfront Grille has moved south.... But the fun is only growing. Now located just south of Jockeys Ridge State Park on the Bypass in Nags Head. Mulligans have moved into a larger space which allows us to serve the visitors and Outer Banks locals even better than before.... We now have two bar areas, one upstairs with a long traditionally shaped bar just like our former oceanfront location on the Beach Road and a horseshoe shaped bar downstairs that has a view of Jockey's Ridge from the many windows which surround the bar. Yes, we still have the video golf game, just like before, so even if the weather outside is not ideal, you can still shoot a round of golf inside Mulligans Raw Bar and Grille. Our new location came with a bigger kitchen and steamer capabilities, so we are taking advantage of all the new space and providing you with a much more extensive menu from which to choose. This year we have added new ocean view decks providing views of the Atlantic ocean and Jockeys Ridge too!
Mulligan's Raw Bar and Grille has a few new items.... In case you have not guessed from the name, Mulligans now has a steamer bar and a raw bar. Get steamed shrimp, oysters, mussels clams, crablegs and even lobster. We are taking full advantage of all the fresh local Outer Banks seafood and we are betting you will too. We still have the best burgers on the Outer Banks as well. We have even added a couple of new "burgers in paradise" from our old menu, so come on in and let us grill you one.
With all the new space, Mulligans will be expanding its entertainment for some good ole Outer Banks nightlife fun. Two bars to choose from allow you two different environment to hang out. We will be booking some Outer Banks entertainers, some karaoke nights and a variety of fun things to do will be available. We still feature a golf theme throughout the restaurant and have added a few Irish touches to make sure that Mulligan's Raw Bar and Grille is a place you will definitely want to "do over".
In addition to all the restaraunt and bar changes Mulligans has implemented, we are now capable of handling banquets, meetings and in-house catering events. Parties from one to one hundred and seventy can be accommodated in our new facility. We can seat, serve and satisfy any size event. At the beginnning of 2008, Mulligans's decideed that we were going to make every possible effort to Go Green!! The first step was to institue a recycling program, in which we have already begun with the help of Dare County and the Town of Nags Head. All oyster shells, cardboard, cooking oils, glass and plastic are recycled and we try to recycle as much of our paper products as we possibly can. We have also started buying recyeled paper products and ecologically friendly cleaning supplies and have just purchased re-useable carry-out bags. And we are proud to be one of the first restaruants on the Outer Banks to go completely Styrofoam free. Our carry-out containers are now all made of biodegradable bamboo and we have replaced plastic in every instance that we could.
We also plan to request permits in the near future that will let us place windmills on the restaurant property, alllowing us to generate up to 80% of all of our energy needs. And we plan on continuing our efforts into the years to come to do our part in keeping Nags Head and the Planet a cleaner, greener place to live.
